Condominium Bylaws

The official bylaws of the condominium govern our way of life in Water's Edge. They provide the legal requirements for the election of the board of directors, the conduct of meetings of the organization and assessments to residents for upkeep of common areas.

Our bylaws must conform to the State of Maryland statutes regarding condominiums which are provided here. 

A more formal path to the condominium laws are provided as described in the next sentences. The complete Maryland laws are available free  in Lexis/Nexis format here. On the website, after you click to Agree, then go to Real Property, Section 11 and choose the individual paragraph of the laws.

In addition, our bylaws must conform to the Columbia Town Center covenants which are provided here.

All residents should be familiar with these documents since they contain the requirements for our conduct as part of the neighborhood. You may download the current Water's Edge Bylaws here. Note that if there is a conflict with the State laws, the State laws take precedence.
