There are weekly trash pick-ups by the county. There are also county drop-off points if you need to take your trash there, particularly if it is over-sized.
Trash is picked up on Monday (unless there is a holiday). Please put out the cans or bags after dusk on Sunday or in the morning on Monday, not before. Trash pickup can occur as early as 6:30 a.m. Please retrieve your receptacle on trash day--it is not attractive to the appearance of our community to have trashcans and bags visible too early or too late.During the week your trash and recycling receptacles should be out of sight in the front (behind a wall or bush) or in the back of your unit. Please make sure that your garbage can has a tightly-fitting lid so that trash doesn't blow away or attract animals.Recycling is picked up on Thursdays (unless there is a holiday). The county has provided a blue recycling container for your use. This container is assigned to your house and should stay when you move. Again, please put out your recycling after dusk on Wednesday or early on Thursday. If you have more recyclables, use paper bags and make sure they are firmly closed so wind does not cause the material to blow around. Plastic bags are not to be used for recycling. Feed the Green Bin. Waters Edge is part of the county composting program starting spring of 2022 . Place appropriate items in the Green Bin and place out on the same days as recycling. Contact the county for a green bin if you do not yet have one. Each unit row has a common area for trash/recycle collection. Just ask a neighbor or look outside on collection day to see where others deposit trash/recycling.Bulk items (such as large appliances, mattresses, or large pieces of furniture) and scrap metal pickup must be scheduled with the county. Please call 410-313-6444 or visit our Bulk Item Collection on the county webpage.Holidays. There is no collection on the following county holidays: - Memorial Day,
